Sacramento Maternity Photographer | Corinne

This is Corinne, my sweet friend. She is hilarious, kind, a yoga-pant loving, dog person, candy-holic (like me), and also happens to be an amazing family and baby photographer. We got together with our friend Jo (who shoots weddings with me and I with her) and our kids for a girl’s trip to the beach. Of course, when three photographers get together we take a few photos. Her third baby is due in a few short weeks and I am beyond excited for her family. This little girl brewing in her belly is incredibly loved, wanted, and was a prayer in the distance for a long time. I am so happy she is getting her third baby for her older two to dote on and spoil. I am certain this little girl will never want for anything!

We went out right at sunset and ran around like crazy people in the sand. This was steps from our beach house in Watsonville. It was shenanigans, but that is just how we operate. I think I laughed the entire time I was photographing her. Jo was running around beside me shooting as well, and as a team we gave Corinne (this camera shy gal) some fun photos to remember her baby belly. Corinne found this awesome beach house and I am so looking forward to making this a yearly trip. Perhaps we shall get some photos of her baby next fall, a little 9 month ball of energy we are sure to experience next trip.

Then we went back and had an amazing dinner I cooked. Peaches and prosciutto, steak, crusty bread. Good friends, good food, good times. Thanks Corinne for letting me take your picture 🙂 you are a dear and are going to rock it as a mom of three! Congrats love, I wish you all the best! Sacramento Newborn Photographer | Baby Wes

Nothing is sweeter than a newborn baby. I met up with this lovely family in their home in near Sacramento, California. This little boy is now almost one and I am blushing over how long it has taken me to blog their newborn session!

I have two boys myself, so I have a special little place in my heart for this family. Those sleepless nights and the way a new baby squeaks out a tiny cry when they are hungry, gassy smiles, and that unforgettable baby smell. Breath in deep on those baby heads, my friend. All things that a new mama and dad will likely never forget and miss greatly after their little babe grows up.

I love how peaceful this sweet boy looks throughout his first photo session. These soft, simple, and comfortable newborn poses are my favorite. Babies should be wrapped softly, showing off their natural sleep positions and allows the parents to remember how their baby truly was in their first weeks.

And of course, family photos have to include the first children! Those precious pets that have stolen their parent’s hearts must always be included in the baby pictures. This sweet pup will grow up with their new baby friend and memories are bound to be made! I am looking forward to many more photo sessions with this baby and his family 🙂

Sacramento Newborn Photographer | Grace’s Baby Boy

Grace’s maternity session was one of my favorites, and when she had her baby boy she contacted me for newborn photos in her San Francisco home. We opted for a portrait session with their new son and also managed some amazing open eye photos of him on their bed. Grace and her husband had planned on being surprised with the gender of their little one and it was a joyous event when he was able to tell Grace what their little baby was! I am so happy for her, having a birth experience that resulted in such love and celebration.

This little baby has been showered with love and adoration from his parents and other family members since his arrival. It seemed only fitting to me to keep him snuggled up and warm during his big debut photo session! He never cried and never fussed the entire time I was there, even though he was wide awake during my visit. Grace pulled out some lovely, soft blankets we used for his portraits.

Thank you to this lovely family for having me out to their home for a newborn session with their new baby boy. I hope he continues to be as mellow and sweet as he was this day!
