I recently read a great quote by Elizabeth Gilbert about balance and life and it rang so true to me and inspired me to be ok with editing and sharing some personal photos when I am still working furiously on my client work. That woman is wise…and I am going to try my darndest to live this every day.
Basically, I think we are all just sloppy stupendous champions.” – Elizabeth Gilbert
We took the kids to Yosemite for spring break this year (so many months ago in March) and we had an absolute blast. I love when we all ship out somewhere as a family, living in close quarters, all piled on top of each other, exploring, getting dirty. We may not have hiked any mountains (the toddler dictates our activities haha) or adventured like we used to pre-kids, but we did this trip together and that is what matters. This is embarrassingly my first trip to Yosemite. I don’t know how I have lived 37 years without visiting this glorious, amazing place.
Wow.
No words to describe driving into Yosemite for the first time.
I still get goosebumps thinking about it.
We played “My House”, all the windows down, sunroof open, in awe of the majestic beauty. Every time I hear that song I know think of Yosemite.
Now to put a bride and groom in this glorious park (hint hint) I would love to shoot a wedding here one day, universe.
Thank you, world, for looking at my family photos. I love photographing my kids and need to to it more this year. Being a family storyteller is such a joy and I loved reliving our trip through these images.
