Chloe is so loved. She has been welcomed into the world by her parents, Yennie and Xavier. I had been looking forward to heading out to San Francisco to meet this new family since the first e-mail Yennie sent me. She has a delightful sense of humor and is one of those easy going, effortless beauties, with warmth and positive energy oozing out of her. She gracefully chatted with me and lovingly held her baby daughter while her attentive, and also kind and humorous, husband watched over them both. When Xavier held his daughter she looked so tiny in his arms, and his gentle affection with her is heart warming. Their home is full of natural light and the kind of good vibes you want to buy at the store and paint on your walls. I love their style and the way they love each other. This family is in for so much goodness as they raise their own little city baby. I wish them all the best in the years to come!

Sacramento In Home Newborn Photographer | Baby Ruby

It was a joyful day when I drove down to San Francisco to meet Cristin and Matt’s newest baby girl, and photograph their new family of four. Her maternity sessions (for both this baby girl and her first daughter) were both a dream. Cristin is beautiful, with an effortless grace about her. Her and Matt have such a warm home for their girls, it is always awesome to visit them and photograph them in their element.

Their oldest daughter is full of life and she makes me smile. I have a crazy little toddler of my own and it is always fun to be around children with such big and happy personalities. The girls were lovely during the session, while little R slept and cooed her sister danced and bounced and ran around playing. I know I have said it many times before, but there is something soothing and magical about in-home newborn sessions where the pace is relaxed and the session is fully about the love and quiet chaos of a growing family. The way Cristin and Matt hold their baby girl, the way C dances around the bed and giggles until we all try to get her to snuggle her sister and she bounds out of the room without so much as a second glance back. The way the soft morning light streams through their windows and highlights the joy mixed with sleeplessness mixed with a kind of happiness only new parents know. I cannot thank Cristin and Matt enough for continuing to trust me with their family’s images.

Sacramento Newborn Photographer | Marcela + Seth

Seth and Marcela had a baby boy!! A super cute, sweet, perfect little baby boy. He is the already so loved. The king of their castle, the ruler of their domain, the tiny captain of their ship. He is going to grow up surrounded by love and laughter and the cutest little pup named Rufus. It wasn’t all that long ago I drove out to the Bay Area to meet up for their maternity photos.

We scheduled in their maternity photo session when Marcela was 38 weeks along. I was nervous we would miss our chance for their session, but little boy waited patiently for us. Then he waited some more, and a bit longer. He decided to make his arrival into the world about a week after his due date! Little E was worth the wait. Marcela and Seth are completely infatuated with their son. He has filled their lives and they are already amazing parents.

I loved meeting their little boy and spending the day with the three of them (and Rufus) in their adorable apartment in the Bay Area. They live in a really cool location above shops and restaurants, where everyone knows Rufus and now they will all get to know the little boy that will soon chase Rufus, feed him, and be everyone’s favorite kid. Marcela planned out the cutest decor for his nursery (which they assured me didn’t always look so perfect, but I struggle to believe anything these two do isn’t spot on) and he already had the best collection of clothes and accessories. Seth’s mom has been knitting hats and booties and blankets for years and she finally has a grand baby. Each item, made with love, now sits patiently in E’s closet ready to be worn.

Little E has a fun life ahead, hopefully he has his dad’s sense of humor and his mom’s beautiful hair and zest for life. I wish this new family of three the very, very best as they start this adventure together!!
