Folsom Maternity Photographer | Melissa + Paul

This gorgeous gal is my cousin. She is glowing with anticipation of her little girl’s arrival, and I feel like I should blog her session before she gives birth…so here is Melissa and her sweet husband, and her adorable little pup, June. Melissa is radiant, she smiles like this all the time because she is just that happy with her life, her marriage, and her little girl still tucked away in her belly.

Pregnancy is one of those things for me…I miss it more when it is over. There is no comparison to having that baby in your arms for the first time, but I do sometimes get a little nostalgic for that time when the baby was all mine 😉 there is this special bond formed between a baby and a mama even though they have not yet met. I am sure it is the same for my sweet cousin. There is something magical about this time, right before baby arrives, when the nights are still quiet, yet you know that something amazing and wonderful and really, really cool is going to happen.

She was in town for her baby shower and I made sure to get some time with them. At sunset, of course 🙂 the pretty light and even prettier mama made for some lovely images.

Maternity sessions are best scheduled between 32 and 36 weeks, when mama has an adorable bump, but is still comfortable. Maternity shoots are meant to show off more than the belly, they are (for me anyway) meant to show the love that these future parents have for each other and their growing family. As the belly grows, so does their relationship. It is made stronger by the fact that they have MADE something together that is bigger then themselves. It is always an honor for me to document this time in someone’s life. Truly an honor. I am ecstatic for my cousin…cannot wait to meet her baby girl so very soon!

Sacramento Maternity Photographer | With a Beauty

There is nothing more gorgeous than a glowing pregnant woman! I may be slightly biased since this mama is my younger sister 🙂 Christina is expecting her first son and I was THRILLED to be able to take her maternity photographs!!!

Christina is beautiful inside and out. She likes to cook and bake and take care of her family. She is one of the kindest souls I know. I adore her and am so extremely excited to meet my new nephew (and excited to take his newborn photos in July!)

Folsom Maternity Photographer | Sydney

I have had the incredible honor of photographing Sydney’s daughter from newborn to age one (and you can find baby C all over my blog 🙂 ) and I was THRILLED to be able to take her maternity photos for baby number two. We set up a sunset maternity shoot for their whole family, and Sydney, Ben, and little C met me in Folsom. We actually shot these images in less than 15 minutes as the sun slipped below the horizon, allowing us to capture the amazing color in the sky. I heart this girl and her family.

She is radiant. She is everything beautiful and full of life. She is absolutely glowing.

She glows because she is as sweet as she is beautiful. Sydney is stunning. I wish you all could meet this girl, because you would fall in love with her.
Isn’t her family just gorgeous? I adore that little girl so much. Sydney, thank you so much for giving me some of my all time favorite images ever. Your family is going to welcome the luckiest baby boy, he is going to be able to grow up in this household full of love with a mama that is kind, loving, and beautiful.
I am already excited about our newborn session together and I cannot wait to meet your handsome little man. Family is forever, and I am so grateful that I was able to give you these images.
