Kate and James have started growing their family. It has been a few years since I have seen them (remember their wedding and engagement!) Their little girl, Logan, has completely changed their lives and it was a pleasure to meet her and photograph these two again.

Cassie and her family wanted photos during their vacation to Lake Tahoe. I love extended family session and love them even more when folks are on vacation. Seriously. Full relaxation, excellent scenery, kids loaded up on family love, dinners out, warmth, laughs. These sessions are all kinds of fun. She lives in the Bay Area, so Tahoe is a special place for her and her family. Getting away from real life for a week and being immersed in nature is healing. There is no better time to take photos. Trust me. No better time.
There were forest fires in the Sierra Nevada mountains the week they were there. It was hard to see the lake through the white haze and smoke so we opted for a “mountain session”. We used the trees and trails around the lake to capture some of the woodsy goodness Tahoe has to offer.
Cassie and her family were amazing. They made my job insanely easy and I am forever thankful. They laughed at all my cheesy jokes, hugged me good bye, and made sure to give me their true selves for their photos. I cannot extend enough gratitude towards people like this. Have fun, get cool photos, explore Tahoe. Check, check, check.
This is my beautiful friend, Chloe. She is a fab photographer and I have been friends with her for years. She asked for an extended family session with her in-laws for Christmas. First, it is always rad to photograph another photographer. Nerve wracking, yes, but rad. I loved the dynamics between the kids and their grandparents and uncle. The whole session was a blast. Not to mention her styling was top notch!
I have photographed Chloe before, and we were both actually in Seattle to photograph our friend, Bre. We’ve been to conferences together and she is an all around wonderful person! I cannot thank her enough for trusting me to take these shots of her family for the holiday 🙂
