It was a brisk, dark morning when I met Lindsay and her family at sunrise on top of the world. When we arrived the sun was still tucked below the hills. Like the sun, we were still sleepy and we wandered about stopping to take photos by the gorgeous trees in the area. This beautiful mama is one of my brides from a few years ago. She is gorgeous inside and out. Lindsay is the sweetest. She e-mailed me a few months ago asking about a family session. After chatting about times and locations we decided on a sunrise session. Little girl is one and I feel like most babes are happiest earlier in the day.

Once the sun skimmed the tops of the hills the most beautiful golden light burst through the dusky morning. We laughed and smiled at how lucky we were to catch this weather the day of our session. The whole family was giddy as we played and laughed and took some amazing photos. The light, seriously folks. The light. It is always about the light. And happiness.
