There is nothing sweeter than a newborn baby. Except maybe a fresh newborn, only a day old. I have known this family for years. It’s been a long road from their engagement and wedding to newborns. I have had the pleasure of watching this crew grow. Jessica and Zak are fantastic people and I am so happy for them. The birth of their second daughter is a big deal. It means they will double their fun and have double the amount of adorable girl clothes. I have two boys and love having a pair, so I get excited for folks when they also get a pair. I can’t wait to see this family again! They rock and I love sticking them in front of my camera.

I have been photographing this family for years. When Becky was pregnant with their oldest son we met, just us three. Fast forward a few years and two kids to this newborn session in their home with their newest baby daughter. Babies are beautiful and I love photographing them with their families in their first few days on earth. Even better, I love photographing them in their home. Home is where the heart is and where everyone is most comfortable. When Becky was hungry mid-session, Max lovingly made her a plate of nachos. New mamas need to keep up their energy, and what is better than a heaping plate of cheese and chips and salsa. Nothing. On top of being a cool family with gorgeous kids and a great sense of humor, they fed me nachos. Thank you Max and Becky, for having me photograph your family again and again!

when to schedule newborn photos

I love photographing newborns in the first few weeks of life. They change so much (and so quickly) in their first month it means a lot to me to make sure and capture all the little details while they are fresh. If you want sleepy photos with your babe, it is always best to schedule as early as possible! Once mama is feeling up to it I am happy to head over and photograph you!

Jenna and her beautiful family have been in my life now for years. I met them at their wedding years ago. After maternity and newborn for both babies we are now like old friends. We have bonded over conversations about raising babies and toddlers. We’ve chatted from everything about honeymoons to travels with the kids. I love her fun and very sweet personality and her generous nature. She is the kind of girl that everyone needs in their life and I am so lucky they come back to me year after year and baby after baby for photos.
