I met Jacky and her baby girl for newborn photos in a Folsom field last fall. She opted for a mini session and the golden grass complimented her baby’s first photo shoot perfectly. I adore babies and it was such a fun change to photograph one outdoors. Thank you Jacky for making the drive to Folsom to meet with me! It was an honor meeting your adorable family 🙂
When I have clients come back after their wedding and engagement, after maternity, after newborn portraits for their brand new baby, for one year pictures of their growing child…it makes me so happy I could cry.
This is a different kind of post. A combo post. Like a pizza. Or a sundae. A montage if you will 🙂
I first met Jamie in 2011, and after a coffee date wedding consult we scheduled an engagement session in Apple Hill. In 2012 she was married at a gorgeous wedding ceremony at Yoche De He in Brooks (at the Cache Creek Casino). I was truly honored to photograph her beautiful wedding. When she e-mailed me for maternity photos in 2013 I was SO excited to see her and Richard again.
Her maternity portraits were taken in wide open fields outside of Davis, California. She is a country girl at heart and this location was perfect for her.
I was excited to see her again in the fall of 2013 for newborn portraits for her brand new baby girl. It made my heart so happy to see their family come full circle. I often wonder if my previous wedding clients have started families together, but to get the call to photograph the new baby is beyond words.
I was incredibly honored yet again to photograph their daughter’s one year birthday session complete with a cake smash 🙂 Jamie brought along a beautiful antique high chair and their little yellow wagon for her daughter’s photos. It was just the best. Little girl has so much personality and the biggest brightest smile. I just adore her.
I would love to photograph all of my old clients again and again 🙂 I really do find myself thinking of them as the years go on. I feel that I was there during one of the happiest occasions of their lives, focused on really reading them and their relationship, trying to see beyond the wedding day into the way they really care for each other. I am honored to be their family photographer.
Little baby D was so excited to meet her family she decided to make her grand entrance a month early. She was the picture of health and completely perfect at birth, and is gorgeous and mellow when I finally got to meet her. I have known her mama for about 1o years and was honored to spend the day photographing her little fingers and toes. She is a treasured granddaughter, Mom and Dad’s sweetheart, and will be the apple of the eye of anyone that meets her. Baby D was so sweet and calm, never fussing, never crying, and nursed like a pro 🙂 She is also one of the cutest little babies I have had the pleasure of snuggling.
