Folsom Newborn Photographer | Joe + Liz

Joe and Liz had a baby and it is finally time for the world to meet their gorgeous girl! Liz radiates beauty and grace and is the sweetest mama. Joe and Liz are both so happy their baby has arrived. Their house was filled with scattered receiving blankets, baby gear, flowers from the hospital stay, and the essence of fresh new life. These tiny items seem like they have been there forever, and their presence creates such a happy home. It is easy to get lost in snuggling new babies at a newborn session, and I had to remind myself to stay on task. Take pictures. Stop admiring all of the cuteness.

I really should have played some calm, soothing, top 40 and rap for this wide awake girl. She wanted little to do with sleeping in the peace and quiet of the house when I arrived, she is clearly used to her mom’s favorite tunes 🙂 This sweet girl wanted to stay awake and enjoy her photos, I am sure she was basking in all of the attention I poured on her. She barely peeped a cry the entire time, watching me, cooing, and making the most adorable expressions. I am incredibly happy for Liz and Joe and their entire family.

Congratulations again to this amazing couple! I hope their first year as a family is as awesome as Liz and Joe. Kisses and hugs and everything nice to your babe.

Folsom Maternity Photographer | Best Friends Maternity!

Ok peeps. I am going to overshare some maternity photos for my stunning sister (Christina, who you might recognize from prior sessions I have on my blog) and the sweet and gorgeous Stefani. Make sure you stick around for their super fun best friend photos at the end!!

These two, oh my lanta. I am loving their style and their smiles. They are both incredibly happy to be adding little bundles to their families.

Christina is welcoming a little boy and Stefani is ready for her little girl. I cannot wait to meet them both! Newborn sessions will be calling my name this spring, it is truly the season for babies.

I wanted to capture some indoor and outdoor portraits for these ladies, and they graciously obliged my requests. I actually had little to do with their poses and expressions, they are both so in tune with their bellies and those sweet babies growing inside. I am a huge fan of maternity sessions, having had my two boys it is amazing and alien like and awe inspiring all at the same time to grow a human. There really is no other time when your body is not your own, and any experience out of the ordinary deserves a photo session. Says the photographer 🙂

We shall start with images of the beautiful Stefani. Then the radiant Christina. Then the two of them dancing around in the sunset light. You will not want to miss that light. And the cuteness. It slays me!

These make me want to have a baby again. Almost. Or just photograph people who are having babies. Sacramento Newborn Photographer | Grace’s Baby Boy

Grace’s maternity session was one of my favorites, and when she had her baby boy she contacted me for newborn photos in her San Francisco home. We opted for a portrait session with their new son and also managed some amazing open eye photos of him on their bed. Grace and her husband had planned on being surprised with the gender of their little one and it was a joyous event when he was able to tell Grace what their little baby was! I am so happy for her, having a birth experience that resulted in such love and celebration.

This little baby has been showered with love and adoration from his parents and other family members since his arrival. It seemed only fitting to me to keep him snuggled up and warm during his big debut photo session! He never cried and never fussed the entire time I was there, even though he was wide awake during my visit. Grace pulled out some lovely, soft blankets we used for his portraits.

Thank you to this lovely family for having me out to their home for a newborn session with their new baby boy. I hope he continues to be as mellow and sweet as he was this day!
