A beautiful mom, her lovely and vivacious daughter … what more could I want in a photo session? A gorgeous cloudy day and these two beauties? Perfection 🙂 We met up in Folsom, California for an evening shoot. I am so glad we were able to get this hard working mama some images of her and her precious baby girl. Kids do grow up so fast, and as a mom myself I know I cherish any time I can get photos taken with my children. Remembering every hug, every kiss, and every snuggle means the world to me.
This little girl. Sigh, she is just so full of life. I love how much sass she has in such a tiny package. I adore sessions like this, where I leave refreshed and filled with joy! It was truly a pleasure photographing this beautiful mother and her fun loving daughter. I can still hear their laughter…

To prepare for a mother-daughter session like this lovely pair, I recommend styling in coordinating outfits, layers, accessorize, and keep colors consistent with your surroundings. It is so much fun putting together outfits that really show off your own personalities! Since this session took place with some gorgeous greenery, these ladies paired their neutrals with pops of bright turquoise and greens. Complimentary colors like this are pleasing to the eye and make the images stand out. By keeping the tones consistent with the location you will have images that are timeless, and keep the focus on the moments happening between you and your daughter 🙂

I think it is so important to get a few shots of mom and dad alone during family sessions. The probably don’t get photos of the two of them very often and I know I love photos with my husband without the kids. Stephanie is so beautiful and has such a kind heart.
