Sacramento Birth Photographer | Fresh 48 | My Nephew

I realized in the craziness of life I never posted this video, the birth of my nephew. It was so emotional and inspiring to photograph my sister’s delivery. My nephew is now almost 3 and has been joined by a little brother…and I am excited to share his newborn photos here soon 🙂

Birth photography is something I rarely get the chance to do (as they are unplanned and when I have weddings scheduled I can’t be present for a birth). If there are any mamas out there looking for day of birth or day after birth sessions at the hospital with their family and friends I would love to talk with you!

Lake Tahoe Documentary Newborn Photographer | Minmyo + Jon

I met Minmyo and her husband a few months ago for their maternity session in Lake Tahoe. They were excited to welcome their little boy, baby Coconut, in March. When I drove back to Tahoe to photograph their new arrival I reminisced about having a new baby in the house. When I arrived at their home, overlooking the lake, I stopped to take in the view…excited to share the afternoon with this new family of three. Minmyo is a photographer herself, and it was lovely photographing her in her natural environment. At home, with their family’s belongings and her camera full of photos of her new son in the background.

Minmyo is a very caring, sweet mother. She soothed her baby boy with ease and smiled happily at him as they snuggled on the bed and when he nursed. Jon looked on with such admiration for his wife, who brought his son into the world. Their family is starting a new adventure together and I was truly honored to capture some images for them.

Truckee Family Photographer | Family at Donner Cabin

Rain and a super cool family. I can’t even. It was fall, beautiful, green, and perfectly Truckee when my family and I drove up to meet Joe and Rebecca and their daughters. My husband and I have known Joe for many, many years. They were best friends, spending their weekends trekking to Tahoe to ski, causing shenanigans, and enjoying boy humor. I was so honored to spend some time photographing them and I am excited to finally share these images!

Love this family so much! They live in San Diego and they come up north to visit their family and spend time in the mountains. We love that we were able to connect and spend some time sipping Moscow Mules and talking. For hours! Until the next time!
