Allie and her daughter have been wanting photos to capture their silly, spunky, everything-kind-of love. These two are as beautiful inside as they are on the outside. This little 8-year old has enough energy, beauty, and life inside to shower it on everyone she meets. She made me smile and I adored photographing this lovely pair. Thanks to Allie for trusting me to capture photographs of her and her girl.
Seth and Marcela had a baby boy!! A super cute, sweet, perfect little baby boy. He is the already so loved. The king of their castle, the ruler of their domain, the tiny captain of their ship. He is going to grow up surrounded by love and laughter and the cutest little pup named Rufus. It wasn’t all that long ago I drove out to the Bay Area to meet up for their maternity photos.
We scheduled in their maternity photo session when Marcela was 38 weeks along. I was nervous we would miss our chance for their session, but little boy waited patiently for us. Then he waited some more, and a bit longer. He decided to make his arrival into the world about a week after his due date! Little E was worth the wait. Marcela and Seth are completely infatuated with their son. He has filled their lives and they are already amazing parents.
I loved meeting their little boy and spending the day with the three of them (and Rufus) in their adorable apartment in the Bay Area. They live in a really cool location above shops and restaurants, where everyone knows Rufus and now they will all get to know the little boy that will soon chase Rufus, feed him, and be everyone’s favorite kid. Marcela planned out the cutest decor for his nursery (which they assured me didn’t always look so perfect, but I struggle to believe anything these two do isn’t spot on) and he already had the best collection of clothes and accessories. Seth’s mom has been knitting hats and booties and blankets for years and she finally has a grand baby. Each item, made with love, now sits patiently in E’s closet ready to be worn.
Little E has a fun life ahead, hopefully he has his dad’s sense of humor and his mom’s beautiful hair and zest for life. I wish this new family of three the very, very best as they start this adventure together!!
It was early morning on an unseasonably warm day in San Francisco. As I waited at the beach for this really cool couple to arrive I reflected back on how lucky I felt to be photographing these two again. Marcela and Seth are the super smiley, beautiful, and seriously hilarious pair I had the joy of meeting at their engagement photo session and at their wedding last year.
Oh what a difference a year makes. Marcela and Seth have moved back to the West Coast after Marcela finished med school. She is deep into her residency with plans on moving into a blossoming career in Opthalmology. My eyes are horrible, it must be why I secretly love her so much. She is a fiery personality, charismatic, charming, and insanely likable. Seth is a dream of a husband, doting, kind, always there to make Marcela laugh and help her out while balancing working full time and trekking across the country managing moves and their jam packed social calendar. These two are a powerful team! I am inspired in their presence. When they contacted me about photos for her growing belly I was thrilled to see them again!
We wandered the beach with the gorgeous blue skies above. I was slightly mortified when we stumbled upon the weirdest mass seagull grave on the beach, I am so glad we were able to chuckle about that even at their newborn session 🙂 We forgot about the poor birds after we found a beach ball dancing in the waves, we ran into the water, we ran on the sand…I thoroughly enjoyed every second of this session with them. They were keeping the gender a surprise for birth (incredible way to do it!) and I was itching to find out if they were going to have a spicy little girl or a sweet little mini-Seth.
