Matt + Kellie: Amber House Wedding {Sacramento Wedding Photographer}

This is Kelli and Matt and their love story. They found each after winding their way through the twists and turns that life sent them.

But there is a reason they met each other when they did. It was THEIR time.

Their wedding was all about the two of them, their love, and their families.  It was small, intimate, and personal. It was exactly perfect. Kellie’s brother was the officiant of their ceremony and he began with an excerpt from The Velveteen Rabbit.

“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”
“It doesn’t happen all at once,” said the Skin Horse. “You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all…”

Kellie was gracious and completely stunning. Matt was calm and collected and excited to be married.

Kellie’s mom was lovely, happy, and worked so hard to make sure everything went perfectly for her daughter.
Kellie and Matt put together a sign in book that had mementos from their first date…and a love note from Matt.
Kellie was emotional when she saw herself in her dress on her wedding day.
I had the honor of walking her across the street before the ceremony. She was brimming with happy tears, excitement, with anticipation of becoming Matt’s wife.
After their families had walked to the reception, and they had a moment alone, the reality of their new lives together started to sink in. And it was nothing but SMILES!
At our engagement session, Matt wanted a jumping photo…I figured we could do another one at the wedding as well;)this one is for you Matt! Great Air!!
Something blue. Kellie’s toes.
Momma and daughter, she was there for Kellie all day. Kellie was wearing her grandmother’s bracelet.
At each place setting there was a crossword puzzle for the guests to fill out while they ate.
Kellie surprised Matt with a small globe that had their proposal, other special moments in their lives. It was thoughtful and quirky and completely incredible.
The guests bid farewell to these two with bubbles. Then Kellie and Matt whisked away in a town car. To start their new lives together as husband and wife.

“…once you are Real you can’t become unreal again. It lasts for always.”

THANK YOU for allowing me to have such a special part of your day.  Kellie, you so beautiful inside and out xoxoxoxo always.
